Weaving Place Artists

PLACE Performing Landscapes is a collaborative initiative between Bethlen Theater in Hungary, Norwegian Landscape Theater and Hiatus. Together, we are developing projects in green spaces across three European cities, creating tools and networks that empower artists to engage with nature in sustainable and innovative ways.

Four Brussels-based artists – Flavia Antoniazzi, Thula, Tanya Galibus and Arnout Vandeputte – present you Weaving Place, a series of immersive, participatory activities created to (re)imagine our relationship with the wild nature of Donderberg.

Donderberg’s inaccessible core, protected for safety, and working from the neighbouring areas are an essential element in their approach.

We work at the edges of Donderberg. Borders, fences, and limits become meaningful thresholds that shape how care is practiced.

From March to June 2026, Weaving Place invites you to (re)connect with the wild nature of Donderberg through a series of participatory activities. The journey culminates in a festival on June 21 and 22 where we will reflect on and envision the gifts we receive from Donderberg and what we can give in return.
