Premiere: The Wonder Of It All
What if we were freed from the everyday life and social conventions?
In The Wonder Of It All, five dancers take you on an ecstatic trip fueled by boundless imagination and unrestrained movement. They share their deepest memories and sensitivities, inviting us to rediscover the sense of connection we’ve lost along the way.

Rutger Zuydervelt composed the score of The Wonder Of It All. He combines elements of ambient, noise, minimalism, drone, field recordings, and electroacoustic experiments. His compositions can be seen as the creation of a sound environment in which the listener can wander. He has worked with visual artists, choreographers, and filmmakers. The Wonder Of It All, is his first collaboration with Daniel Linehan.

A new season of Open Monday
Hiatus invites you to 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮, our monthly gathering to move, share and connect through dance.
Rather than focusing on choreography, we’ll explore practices that nourish the body and spirit. It’s a space for joy, curiosity and community, open to everyone, dancers and non-dancers alike. Join us every last Monday of the month.

Move Your Heart - a solo for Tictac Art Centre by Daniel Linehan
Congratulations to Tictac on their seventh anniversary and fantastic celebration with engaging workshops, performances and moments of connection. David Zambrano and Mat Voorter invited Daniel Linehan to perform at the 7th Anniversary week of Tictac Art Centre. Daniel offered a new solo ‘Move My Heart’ to the community of Tictac. We are very grateful for this opportunity.
From October 13th till 17th Daniel Linehan will offer a new dance workshop ‘Listen – Invite – Support’ at Tictac Art Center.
12 creative minds, 10 summer days and a performing landscape
In the hills of Piemonte, 12 artists came together for a ten-day creative camp to explore deeper connections between art, nature, and community. Through inspiring talks, hands-on gardening, harvesting and cooking together, the program offered fresh insights and encouraged the exchange of ideas. Together, we reimagined how art can become a strategy for engaging with nature and how we might foster a sustainable relationship between green spaces and humans.

We are delighted to introduce the 12 creative minds of PLACE Performing Landscapes. Meet them through our newsletters and follow their artistic journey. This summer we are heading to Piedmont in Italy for a residency where we will work around art and ecology, exchange ideas and share experiences from the participants’ artistic practices. PLACE is a collaboration between Bethlen Theater in Hungary, Norwegian Landscape Theater and Hiatus.

Dance Workshop in Park Ouest for everyone from 8 to 108
Park Ouest was for a long time a neglected urban space between the metro stations Beekkant and Ossegem. In recent years, it has transformed into a vibrant public parc, thanks to the efforts of vzw Toestand, Leefmilieu Brussel, and many local residents. The park is now full of life and a place of connection and play. Just a heartbeat away from our studio, Hiatus brings it’s monthly open dance workshop to the parc, this time on a Saturday. Everyone is welcome!

A new dance workshop by Daniel Linehan at TICTAC Art Centre
This dance workshop combines principles from Authentic Movement and Contact Improvisation. Daniel Linehan will guide this new dance workshop in the week of October 13th at TICTAC Art Centre every weekday from 9h30 till 13h00.
A Wild Open Monday at Donderberg
Our next Open Monday takes place in the parc Donderberg, in the heart of Laken.
Together with dancers Anneleen Keppens and Benjamin Vandewalle, we’ll explore connection, with each other and the wild nature around us. They will share some of their favorite embodied practivces with anyone eager to move and discover the generosity of this green space. PLACE Performing Landscapes
PLACE is a European project in collaboration with Bethlen Theatre and Norwegian Landscape Theatre. We aim to develop three local projects for green spaces in the city and create tools for artists to work with nature. Discover which artists have been selected to develop a proposal.
